nice subject eh?

so anyway, i'm i've been about to pull my hair out cuz i tried my hand at a small veg n fruit garden, and it's not going so well, i till the rows, as deep as i could get, then tilled in lots of compost from lowes into the rows, my seeds germinated great, btw all i started was watermelon, cucumber, and cantaloupe, i then used fish emulsion, MG organic, coffee grounds, banana peels, and even a dead fish from my tank RIP.

i mulched with some leaf mold, straw, and a lil bark mulch, but they just aren't taking off. My soil is crap to begin with but...

1. Am I missing something???

I am going to try my hand @ lasanga gardening, i alread laid down a lil cardboard, *thank you lil cesars for you 5 dollar pizzas which i have to eat every day on my lunch break from work!* anyways,

2. after that does it matter if your stuff goes on in collected layers or can you just trow stuff on it as you get it until planting time?

3. when it's time to plant do you dig through the cardboard? or plant in the stuff that was on top of cardboard??
