How long lived are your Shastas?

I have grown them over and over again and I think I only have one clump left. They don't live very long for me - about three years. I do have one beautiful Becky from one of the few plant trades I have ever done. I think I am going to try and divide Becky this year and give up on Shastas. How about Michaelmas?
