Hi PV, I didn't do any sowing over the winter, I have been busy since October with a major health issue. All is going exceptionally well, though, and I expect to be able to WS as usual in December.

Nota, who is 10 Foot Tall and Bullet-Proof LOL

Hi, Annie. I bought the pack of seeds at the local RKO (Rural King of Ohio) store. It's a farm store and the pack is from Livingston Seed Co. I thought maybe I would try planting them in a big pot or urn with a trellis to climb on in a corner of the sunken garden, to provide more privacy. There is also a piece of wrought iron fencing in that corner, so I could use that as a trellis, too.

Linda, Serenade self sows in my garden and it has not changed in the 4 years I've had it. It is at least 60 feet from any other MG's which reduces the likelihood of cross pollination and MAY be why it is stable for me. Did you happen to get the seeds from me? Mine are as they should be this year but I think there may be some environmental factors that influence form in the hige types, but I am far from an expert. This is just my experience in my garden. I didn't grow any MG this year. Too much to do. The garden is too stuffed too. :-D

Hey! I bought some MG seeds this year based on the pic on the packet, and that looks just like it. It's not called "Split Personality" is it?

If I'm not mistaken, Split Personality is similar but not identical. Sunrise Serenade makes little petals behind the main flower, later on in the season, and I think there may be some difference in the color too. It should be interesting to see what you grow since I've never grown Split Personality. Anyone else out there who is more familiar with these two?
