Paso, I would say don't be too concerned. Whenever designing either you either stick with masses of standard colors for strong statement in simplicity or you mix in a haromony other colors. There are so many ways to design its limitless. Personal taste will be different among anyone as well. Masses of reds are done all the time with roses around my area and done quite effectively. The trick is to use other plants in the areas you have left that will compliment in color the house and roses but will not replicate either of them. Use blue foliage or dark foliage plants. Ornamental grasses can help well because there are many blue colored ones that will also add a relaxed textural beauty to the rigid mass of red. A Russian sage has bluish foliage and blue flowers and mixes well with red rose masses. I don't know your zone but you could even plant white variegated miscanthus such as Rigoletto to offet the colors. You need bold to go with the bold, don't mix too many colors in remaining areas you have left or they will be lost and clash against the roses. good luck!

My hubby had a small rented, organic veggie plot for the first time, so he learned about picking potato bugs. thinning carrots and beets, etc. He thinks that he won't get a plot next summer. He enjoyed the fresh lettuces, beets and tomatoes. However the garden was situated at the opposite end of the city from where we live, and we spent a lot of time driving back and forth to pick, weed, stake, etc. If we really want organic produce, we can buy it fresh at the market every Saturday, much closer to our home. I started a lot of native perennials from seed, mostly winter-sown, so am finally getting the last of these planted out in my very crowded garden. We just don't have enough sun (or space) for home-grown veggies, thus the rental plot. I learned much from all my seed starting. One thing is that I shouldn't be so impatient and start so many different kinds of perennials the same season. My entire patio was a "pot ghetto" from spring until now. My garden was part of a local tour in mid-September, aimed at showing people about mulching, water-saving, wise choice of plants, pollinator friendly gardens, etc. I hope that my visitors had a good time. I know that I did. I had recently divided some of my daylilies, so gave away those divisions for free, all potted up, of course, and properly labelled.

Haven't come across too many Netscape users, seems most sites and applications are geared toward IE but I don't like the problems I always ran into so switched to Mozilla Firefox which I am very happy with. I still use IE for certain sites that don't work in Firefox. Picasa loads all your images into it's program as copies, sorted by date only as far as the year. It has columns on the left side with all your folders or images listed according to year. It leaves your original folders alone so they are just copied. Any cropping, brightness adjustments, etc. are then exported into a separate Picasa Export folder, leaving the original ones intact. The Picasa Album are created on the web by selecting the images from a folder and uploading them. What I like is the ease of use with just quick basic options, nothing too fancy or elaborate. You can see their free tutorial to see if it's something you want, and the program itself is free.
