elm tree for midwest

Hi there...I live just north of Milwaukee, WI in zone 5a. I'd like to plant an elm for a shade location where i'd like to put a bench under at some point. I'm thinking of putting an elm of some type...but not sure which type to put there. I wouldn't mind if it was fast growing, but that's not super important. We get snow/ice here so it has to be sturdy. I'd like a nice canopy. Near this tree (or under eventually) is a Austrian pine, Skylands oriental pine, a bluish somewhat weeping larch, a zelkova elm, crimson king norway maple, regualar sugard maple, some white pines and just a regular blue spruce tree...these are the trees in the general area. I'd like this whatever elm variety i pick to provide a good arching canopy...and as resistant to dutch elm disease as possible as well as the necrosis or beetle. This tree will be in a moist, well-drained location and full sun and on the north side of my house in a somewhat protected location. What do you think? Thanks for your help!!!
