Kawasaki FB460V question:

Hi a buddy brought me his 36" scag walk behind mower in since it would not run. Apparently he brought it to Lesco and they wanted to replace the engine due to no compression. I pulled the head today and the valves only to find the valves not seating (sealing) properly due to excess carbon buildup. No biggy, some gumout and a brass bristle brush and things are sparkling clean again. I 'placed' everything back together with the old head gasket (I have a new one) just to see and there is compression now however this engine has ACR (Automatic Compression Release). What I know about this and where it is on this engine could probably fit inside a squirrel's ear.

Sorry for this long-winded post however if you know anything about Kawasaki and ACR I would certainly like to hear from you.
