Full StoryI did a motor swap on a Snapper SP replacing an old Robin with this motor. (Great motor so far - BTW.) I just did an oil change. This has a pressurized oil system with an external oil filter. I used all my strength trying to unscrew the factory installed filter. Holy cow, they must have hired gorillas to install these things. I could never get it to loosen by hand. I resorted to using a large tongue and groove plier and got it off, but very nervous about damaging what appears to be a kind of wimpy casting that it mounts to. Is there some special tool to do this job or any recommendations?
One other little question. This motor seems to be governed way down on RPM. I don't have a tach on it now. I'd like to at least speed it up to whatever the warranty will still cover. I'll buy a tach, just want to know how to make a modest tweak to the governor setting.
Any help is appreciated. Frank in Vancouver Washington
