Any solutions for cheap Kubota plastic?

My BX 2350 plastic body parts are just getting worse. 3 years old and the part with the air intake grill under the dash is becoming almost worthless. It never did fit well. Now the plastic tabs that hold it into place are breaking. I don't feel I should have to buy a whole new plastic body section just because of their el cheapo design. Anybody else running into this problem? Any dealers giving new ones for replacement? I hope they are fixing the problem.

. Here in American P & K values are listed as Oxides. N is listed as actual N. It is my understanding Europe Lists all Nutrients as Actual values no Oxides. In other words 10-10-10 in America would be listed as 10-4.4-8.3 in Europe. The Oxide of P is P2O5 and K is K3O. You must be listing your Percentages in Oxide form, from the numbers I am reading. I guessing ""LEES"" on the bottom of the tank is another way of saying "Precipitant" on the Bottom of the Tank????? When mixing Fertilizer compounds you don't get all pure water soluble elements. therefore the trash in these compounds Precipitates out of the compound and fall to the bottom of the tank because they are not water soluble. When Talking about soluble fertilizer we measure the solubility as either COLD water or HOT water soluble. You might try premixing with Hot water. I find Calcium Nitrate particularly hard to dissolve in Cold water and use a hot water premix that I let cool before adding to my tank. As far as Buying Hydroponic fertilizer, IMHO it is a rip off because it is only a soluble form of fertilizer. Plus Fertilizer elements are a Commodity, NOT A BRAND. I refuse to pay the high price of Hydro store Fertilizer. I hope this helps, Good Luck .

Why level the lawn if your going to build raised beds? Just rototill where you want the garden to be and use 2x4's or whatever to mark off the area. -lumber: 2x8s or 12's can be cheap if you go to home depo or whatever and ask where their scrap lumber is. It will take years for them to rot enough whered you'll notice. You can also get old wood pallets and tear them apart for the individual pieces. Left over bricks work to. - weed smothering material: one word-Preen. Unless you need to go 100% organic, this stuff will save your life. the small container is fine. Apply in the spring. I havent had to weed barely at all this year. As for now? I'd agree with Gumby_ct: avoid landscape fabric. Its expensive and not worth it. I'd just use black garbage bags, cut the seams, and put that over the whole site. you can cut holes for where you need plants to poke through. If you dont wanna plant anything this year, and just prepare for next, you could solorize the soil. Its harsh, but it will kill all weeds & their seeds (and worms, good bugs, beneficial bacteria etc). all you need is a clear plastic drop cloth, put it over the area you want to plant in, weigh the edges down with bricks, and walk away. Its worth a google search. - compost: This fall, use your lawnmower to pick up the leaves, then dump them on your garden site. They decompose faster when shredded. Do it all season. By the spring, it should have decomposed enough to till into the soil. Leaf mold is the poor mans compost.It can be a good substitution for peat moss as well, since its purpose is to help hold moisture and clay soils. -vermiculite: I used sand instead on vermiculite/pearlite. We had bags of left over from when we used them for winter traction in an old car. the best drainage is from sand anyway. sand + compost/leaf mold = plant nirvana. Hope that is helpful! -Ali

You can buy every type / brand model faucet on ebay or online in general these days... so, it's not the sales / distribution channel that determines whether or not the faucet it garbage or not. It is the brand... and ultimately price that does. From birth we've all heard the saying "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." And nowhere is this more true than plumbing and lighting fixtures. I've been building new and renovating old houses for over 25 yrs and I can assure you--as someone who has bought, installed, replaced, and returned countless faucets and light fixtures--that you get what you pay for in construction. In fact, I rarely use anything but Kohler plumbing fixtures anymore--since (a) I have never had to replace one and (b) they have an extremely generous warranty and repair parts policy--though they are generally on the more expensive end of the spectrum. Without exception, any cheap, Chinese made faucet that you install will have to be replaced within a very short time period if it gets any regular use. And it will be difficult if not impossible to find repair / service parts for it. As opposed to Kohler, for example, which supports their products virtually forever. So, you not only have to consider the up-front costs... but the long term costs--and the very real potential for damages that a cheap fixture that fails can cause in your home. Unless you're a handy-man / DIY type--who can install, replace, and repair your own plumbing--these legacy costs will easily be more than the difference in price between that cheap foreign knock off and a good Kohler fixture. And Kohler just makes better looking stuff anyway. If you can't find a Kohler product that works perfectly for your project--you're doing it wrong. They avoid cliche and short term trends--opting for a more classy, classic product line up--that "ages" well stylistically. But they have beautiful options for all segments of the style spectrum--from neo-classical / traditional to ultra-contemporary to industrial. All you have to do is pick up a Kohler faucet in one hand and pick up a cheap knock off in the other to notice the difference between them; the Kohler will likely weight twice what the cheaper faucet does. And that extra weight is more brass and thicker, better plating, etc.

Cheap plastic greenhouse vent

That's a lot of work, Amy. Why add a vent at all? Could you not just unzip the door and vent out through it? Or, are you trying to put a vent somewhere across from the door so that there is air flow through the greenhouse? In a greenhouse that small, keeping plants from baking insie it might be a real chore. Generally, the smaller a greenhouse, the harder it is to get good venting and air flow because heat builds up so rapidly in a smaller greenhouse. The greenhouse effect is real. Even with a larger greenhouse, I keep the doors (and sometimes all 4 vents) open most days, opening them up as soon as the air temperature rises to 33 degrees, assuming it even had dropped below freezing. If we don't drop below freezing, I open the greenhouse as soon as I walk outside early in the morning to let the poultry out. I have 50% shade cloth on the greenhouse year-round. It still can hit 145 degrees in there just an hour or so after sunrise on a winter's day. Running a fan can help promote air flow and push the hot air out of the greenhouse, but I try to restrict running a fan only to the hot weather months, not the cold weather months. Clearly the solution is a bigger greenhouse. (grin) But, you knew I'd say that, right?

I did a lot of experimentation on the plastic grille on my MTD which broke constantly. I find your best bet if it's cracked in a lot spots to first patch it up with some Pig repair putty (doesn't matter if you use the plain or plastic as they are pretty much the same but the plain gives you more for your buck). Then, where stuff mounts/bolts together, I find it is best to use the hard plastic cable ties to hold it together. You may be able to bind it together with the putty, but if you have to mount it to metal use cable ties for sure, as it does not take to any kind of finished metal well in my experience. Okay I got the obligatory "buy green" and "duct tape" answers. I feel so much better now. LOL. Glad I could amuse you fine folks. LOLOL. I guess I'm gonna have to whine to the dealer and see if they can give me a new one. I hate to do that since they have done me a couple favors in the past, but it's not my fault the plastic is crappin out.

There were a whole bunch of warranty/recall items awhile ago and yours may be in that pile.

knob/lever covers
dash/guages

Anyway, all of those items should be fixed for free as long as your dealer knows about them.

I bought green and the grill is loose(plastic) because the little plastic pins broke off. All my Masseys have metal hoods and grills so the buy green isn't a cure! I'm not knocking JD here, it's just that most of the units being made today have a lot of plastic parts. The dash on my ole Masseys are plastic and after 36 years started cracking, my solution was to use autobody filler(fiberglass type) on the underside, roughly smoothed after dried and painted. Five years on two of them and no more cracking or splitting.

found my answer here...those Japanese sure make lousy plastic...height adjust dial on my Kubota ZG20 fell apart in my hand...gr8 design...should work well with my Lego set

I have the same problem and so does my brother-in-law, plus cracked floor panel. The engines might be good but the rest of the tractors plasti parts have to be held on with bungee straps

Next one will be JD green
