Best Time to Plant Trees in New England

letsgarden

Hello,

we have ordered a few trees and plan to buy another one tomorrow. These are deciduous trees (they flower as well). The air temperature is expected to be in the 50's during the day for the next few days, with 70-80 degree temperatures by Thursday and Friday. I have heard that fall or early Spring is the best time to plant trees and shrubs. Would this be considered early Spring? Did I wait to long or should I wait another week?

-Oh, and by the way, I live in Connecticut (zone 6-7)

Someone probably has asked this question before, but I couldn't find anything here. This website needs to be more "beginner gardener" friendly.

Thanks,

Have a good one!
