Bent/Curved cypress sapling

Two weeks ago I planted a container grown cypress, tree is about 10'and maybe 2" in diameter at the base. It had been staked with bamboo and the first 5' was nice and straight. The tree was bent in a gentle arc from the bamboo to the top when I planted it, I figured this was from the top half over hanging the tailgate of the truck and it would straighten itself once in the ground. After two weeks the tree appears nice and healthy, leaves are budding out but the bend is still there. Every thing I've read about staking calls for doing this only until the roots are established not for changing the shape. Could I, or should I do anything about this or just let it alone? Thanks in advance, Pat
