David Austins for Hot Humid Gulf Coast

The Louisiana State University AgCenter put out a pamphlet about growing roses in the state. They included lists of roses well suited to the area, including a section on DAs.

They said trials were held at the American Rose Center in Shreveport and the outstanding DAs were: Tess of the D'Ubervilles, Benjamin Britten, Jude the Obscure, Heritage, Charlotte, and Molineaux.

The Above-average performers were said to be: Abe Darby, Eglantyne, A Shropshire Lad, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and Winchester Cathedral.

Can anyone in that grows DA's in one of the Gulf Coast states confirm or deny the veracity of this list?

This is my first years with DAs and I guess I lucked out because the 3 I bought, Jude, Abe Darby, and Charlotte are all rated as Outstanding or Above Average. I guess I will have to see for myself. But I would love to hear from other Gulf Coast DA growers. Seems like I haven't seen hardly anyone from this area posting about Austins here.
