Anyone know the artist who painted the pic at top of page?

My MIL had a picture that looked very much like that one. Just curious if anyone knows who the artist is?

I looked on the back of my MIL's picture and it was by the French artist Corot. But I don't think he did the pic that's on this forum. Let me know if you know, okay?

Crazy as it sounds, I took a picture, some time ago, of a reflection in one of my ponds that looks vaguely similiar to the picture at the top of the page.

Natesgramma: I don't have much info on the subway tiles. Sorry. The invoice states 3x6 Navona. That's it. It's a common look so you should be able to find something close to it rather easily. But this light marble tile is matte, FYI and does not have a textured feel - it's smooth. Scootermom: There is an (aftermarket) single trash pull out on the right side of the island on the dishwasher side of the cabinet (had to ensure clearance for both being opened at same time). The pic below shows the other side of the kitchen leading into the FR. Czeck chick: The island base is standard size of 34h x 36w x 24d. The granite has a 10" overhang. We put doors on the front & back of the base cab for easy access since we don't have pull outs. The doors on the far side of cabinet (facing the white doors) have magnetic closures instead of knobs so they don't get in the way when people sit there. The base is constructed of plywood. Since the trash is under there, we store liquor and other things that won't be bothered by the trash. The light wood telephone table is temporary until I find something better. We'll be changing out the floor strip between kitchen and FR to blend better too. That's what the floor installers put down; don't know what they were thinking. Ewww. Here's some pics. DH picked up mine yesterday and I just got a look at the bottle. It's Ferti-lome brand and the bottle says "Soil Acidifier Plus Iron". Did we get the right thing? This ran $5.99/quart. It's raining here and probably will be for a few days. I'll be out of town for 4 days, so don't know when I'll get to test it.

Have you thought about dying the concrete a sandy color? I think gray could be beachy, too, but it's a thought. I think I'd skip the mosaic tiles and just continue your subways into the niche. I love the look of the seaglass in the jar. Your tiles already seem sea glass inspired, IMO. If you used the sea glass in the backsplash, how do you picture it? Surrounded by a square of mosaic tiles? Free form circle? Other? I'd try drawing it out or laying tiles out to get a really clear picture of your options. The above picture from houzz looks kind of like they filled a glass shadowbox with sea glass and then made a niche for it in the wall. I'm linking to a pintest page with seaglass. Mama Goose - Thank you so much! I also learned a new trick today. I narrowed down that this was a concept kitchen of KitchenAid. There was another concept kitchen on the Jenn-Air sight. Sadly - neither mentioned the cabinet maker - though the jennair.ca website had better images to see the cabinet door style. http://www.jennair.ca/cabinetry/ Maybe it is a Canadian cabinet maker. I'm still hunting, but wanted to say thank you for the excellent tip!

i am getting real irritated by my browser ....

she posted that.. by the time stamp.. around a half hour before i wasted my time.. but it did not show up when i looked at the post.. whats that all about ...

Rembrandt schmebrandt.. who is he regarding landscapes.. if you cant go with an english historical landscape painter.. you may as well use it on the interweb .. lol ..

and it is only the 'wasting my time' that is bugging me ... not the winner and champion of obscure historical art ... kudos ... [really should either be obscure???]

Ken, if it makes you feel any better, I actually Google "three trees" (because of GardenWeb's jpg name, 3trees.jpg) in Google images yesterday. The picture was nowhere in site. Now it pops right up in the first line. I guess I spelled three wrong. LOL

I wasted about an hour the other day pulling up financial info from our various banks (for taxes) and then I found it right in front of my on the table....a piece of paper that had everything I needed. That was human error, not computer error, but still....very frustrating!
