We've thought about contacting you various times over the past several years to tell you that the two Blue Muffin Viburnum that you gave us several years back are doing great. They are mature size and bloom beautifully every year. We just realized a year ago, that they do need a pollinator in order to set fruit, so have been looking for a pollinator for awhile now. Just picked up two during a visit to Rochester, MN. One is a Chicago Blue Lustre and the other is an Arrowood dentatum. We're on our way back home to the UP (MI) now and will be anxious to get them in the ground this next week! Jel48 - Joyce

I kick to some degree daily. LOL! I still h/n gotten back to my MTD Mower to ck the carb settings and etc. looking for reasons for using excessive gas. My back-up Murray is taking it’s turn cutting in the rotation. We have some nice cool damp weather in North Tx allowing some other needs. I did a pass and review on the recent gate hinges to not see the gate swinging. I called the neighbor and he reported it’s hung but he has not seen the gate used. The electric gate needed more that than hinges adapted. I’ll hope to see it swing soon On my property, it’s grass and little daily projects I try to keep moving off my work bench. My truck is saying “What About Me”. It is time for my yearly oil change at 3,000 miles or less ever July like clock work since my 2003 retirements. ** Please share opinions on the 3,000 mi or less oil change. I had to change ea 6 mo when the truck was in 4 yr warranty. Due to a requirement of 6 months/5,000 miles I have changed with 1,000 miles in 6 months. I use Castrol 5-30 with a synthetic blend as the Dealer. **My last issue is my therapist is telling me my pain is from laying flat on my back on my mat to change oil. I need to add 2-4” to my oil change ramp that would allow a pillow on my creeper. My thought is using my floor jack to lift a little body weight while the 09 V6 2WD Toyota 4- Runner is on the ramp (vs adding to the ramp). I like changing my oil due to personal care and inspecting the area and oil. Opinions! I purchased at 43,000 mi 12/24/10, I have 53,000 mi on now which is close to my yearly average. I purchased for off-road firewood and fishing and hauling “Stuff” in the truck shell that stays in unless the 2nd seat is needed. ** Attachments = Oil change ramps and local 1 block – 2 Mi firewood hauling. ** Keep that body moving with cautions or it will shut down on normal light past maintenances….. Nope. Nik was just wondering where his new post went, then it appeared out of order, way down the list. It doesn't seem to be getting any better. Right now, for ME, this thread was wayyyyyyyyyyyy down the list, and without a time of posting, just a blank where it should say "1 hour ago" or whenever. It's been like this for at least two days, and Ho-uzzless hasn't made any comment. Edit...about an hour later, it looks like the posts and threads are back in order, newest to oldest.

Jeannie and Mama, yes, I was poking fun, that's why I put the smileys at the end of the message. Sorry if I was ambiguous. I understand not wanting to make it into a hobby. Then again, there are plenty of things that seem to make people happy and relax, forget their troubles... for one of my neighbors, it's his garden. He just *loves* taking care of it. He also doesn't seem to like to do laundry. Me, I don't much care for gardens. Mine is not worse because I found someone I can pay that comes mow my lawn. No one has to like vacuuming, or cooking, or putting dishes in the dishwasher, or doing laundry. I don't like ironing, for example. I only do it when I have to, which is not often. But for good or bad, I like to do some things -- they relax me and seem to make people happier. I like laundry and vacuuming for example, and I also like to load/unload the dishwasher. Those are tasks that to my mind, have a beginning, an end, and it's pretty hard they'll go bad, usually you end up with less mess, more clean stuff and, unlike my job, I can point to stuff that is physical and exists in the world, other people can see them, and I can say "I ran the dishwasher" or "I did all this laundry" and it's *visible*, it's clean, it's done, everyone is happy. Maybe it's not that way for everyone -- but, for good or bad, I'm a computer geek. When I have a good day at work (it happens often enough), *no one* notices, because everything goes right. When I have a hard day at work, *everyone* notices, because they can't do their jobs if the software or hardware is malfunctioning. And, the vast majority of the times, what I am doing is software, there is *nothing* I can point to that actually exists in the world: it's all just a bunch of bits in random places inside some memory device, like a DVD, a hard drive or a solid state disk. You point to a tiny thing that holds 128 gigabytes but you can't point to the *exact* location the software is in, and there are *tons* of other things there in addition to the software or data that I put in or am responsible for. I shouldn't complain, it's a good life, on one hand it's easier than farming things or building things etc, on the other hand it's harder than herding cats, or so I'm told, I've never actually herded cats. But I hope you can understand why I'm kinda protective of my "hobbies": when I first asked if people in my home minded if I did those, *everyone* said no and backed 3 steps to make sure they were not volunteering for the tasks. I took over them, I like them, I do them very well. *Now* that some people want to share the tasks or take over them, I'm saying no. They are mine! Bwahahahah!!!! ;-) Cheers, -- Paulo.
