Dream Come True?

I'm going to go buy the rose "Dream Come True" later this week, unless anyone can convince me otherwise. If you have it let me know how it is doing for you. It looks so nice in the catalog and sounds like a good cutting rose.

I just had to have it but the it was bareroot and still small,went to the nursery a few weeks ago and they had larger ones and they were starting to bloom so impressed I had to buy another,I don't usually do this, i believe it was hersheygirl that posted a beautiful picture here in the gallery a few weeks ago also,beautiful color and lots of petals with beautiful form. I just went to look up hershigrls post said it wasn't avalible. I will post a pic that I will post a pic on webshots my gallerys are under Suzette518

That picture from hershigrl was one of reasons I wanted this rose. Let me know when you get your picture up Suzette. I was going to wait and find a potted one but from what I've seen I'd hate to miss out on the rose if it turns out to be popular.

Thank you for the complimentary words everyone! I ordered Sunset Celebration and got DCT instead, but that didn't bother me too much, since it's such a pretty rose! Sylvia, sometimes I think I just get lucky! I don't think anything I do in particular makes a difference. Until very recently a lot of my blooms weren't looking good at all, must have been thrips, they are beginning to look okay now though.

I'm not saying that they are, because I know very little about them, but mine did form a seed pod after the flower wilted. Then it split open with a bunch of seeds ready to spill out. I don't have any other variety of this cactus, neither do my neighbors. Whether or not these seeds are viable, I can't say for certain until I try and germinate them. This is also another reason why I posted this, to see what others had to say about it. I zoomed in on the seed pod from the last photo. I've since removed it and have it sitting on my dresser in my bedroom.

Honor Guard, Bayer Advance, and Immunox all should work, as they're all antifungals. The hot tap water is interesting, but I'd be afraid to harm the plants with the temperature of the water, lol. You should also trim your roses to improve air circulation. This goes a long way. My problem continues to be Chili Thrips. I can not shake them. Even the cold snap we just had did little to curb the problem. I am in the process of going on a heavy cycle in order to try to control the numbers. I'm trying to take advantage of the dry weather to spray without fear of daily rain, which throws off my plans often.

The pic is up , I would imagine the colors will get better being that it is a young bush,but the centers were already beautiful.

pretty but what about the scent? HMF says none to mild which means none in my book. Sorry but not a dream come true for me.
