I want to over winter 50-60 orchids in N Central FL Z8-9. I like the Rion 30. Wondering about the heating req/overall suitability for this area. Does anyone have info for this GH in this area?
Thanks for the link. I'm hoping a small elec. htr will be sufficient to keep min. temps around 50-55. I read that the rion is a bit drafty, my husband said caulking should take care of that. any thoughts? also, whats the best way to secure it to the ground? we will probably use 6" pt as a base, gravel floor.
You might email DGreenR. I'm not familiar with the anchoring system for this GH. I suppose you could drive stakes in and secure your 6x6 to the stakes. My guess is that the manufacturer will give you specific recommendations.
I agree that caulking should take care of leaks. In z9 a small electric heater would probably work just fine for this GH.
