Here's a pic of mine. I have had this for at least seven years. It does a good job holding the soil. I have it in several locations, it is aggresive but I highly recommend it. Everyone needs a little silver in thier garden.

I know what it looks like. I know how it behaves.
What I DON'T KNOW is what the leaves look like and whether they change their shape over time, as the plant grows on thru the season.
Thanks to any and all who can zero in on that.

The books and all photos I have seen show 'Silver King' with entire leaves which sometimes have a few "notches", one might even say a few "teeth" but in no way are they divided or fringed or truly lobed. I finally got a reply from the mail order source and they confirm this. They believe I have the real thing and say that the mature leaves, which are entire, occur later in the season, but they also asked me to monitor this and report to them if the plants do not eventually resemble 'Silver King'. I have seen one photo of a 'Silver King' that appears to have these juvenile leaves which are lobed. but on top of them are the mature leaves which are entire, more or less spear-shaped (lanceolate). I am surprised I have found no one thus far on this forum who could address my question. Maybe it is such a common plant that most just pass by it?

a bit testy for someone who is asking for help. Moving on, the photo posted above is exactly how this plant looks through out most of the season. It does get an odd shaped leaf here and there . The photo I'll link below shows both leaf shapes. As the plant grows and especially towards the mid to top of stem, you will only find the spear shaped leaf. Silver King is , to me at least, a prettier herb and the stems are not as congested as the Valeri Finnis which in my opinion has more of a 'weed' look.

I am sorry if I was "testy". I just found your post to be beside the point of what I was trying to find out. And, after my testy reply you did respond to what I asked. So maybe the squeaky wheel is the one that gets oiled? Many thanks for your input. The photo you provided is very different from others I've seen. I guess that the proof will come when my plants get some maturity on them.
