EasyStart Green house

Hello,

I am a long time reader of this forum but I think this is my first time posting. I was wondering if any one has any experience with the EasyStart Lean To Green House as can be seen here: http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=395516

This seems like a good price and just the size. I would want to connect two together along the side yard of my house. Anyone with an experience with this brand/greenhouse that can comment on it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Erin!

Are you gonna connect them together to make a complete greenhouse enclosure...or side by side against your house?

If you are gonna connect them together to make a solid greenhouse, I'm not sure that would be the way i'd go....it wouldn'r be any cheaper than any of the other 6x8 greenhouses out there.... not to mention it won't be any stronger.
What are you looking to accomplish with your greenhouse?

Hi Cannadoit,

I donÂt know why but your response didnÂt show up for me till today (I've been checking). Anyway, no I am going to connect them length wise against the house to make a 12' long lean to GH. I have a very narrow side yard and can only accommodate about a ~4' width. So it seems like this would work?

I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this brand or know of another option that would be better? I am thinking I might have to make some modifications to it like the HFGH. Specifically I was wondering about the base. It comes with a metal base but I was thinking I should probably plan on attaching it to 4x4's staked to the ground?

Jodi- Just checked out Harbor Freight and since the aren't currently offering free shipping, the prices are comparable. My price also included an optional base that is a 5 inch frame to add stability and it anchors directly onto the foundation. I like the green color better than the unpainted aluminum too. PLUS, while the HF GH is larger, the space where I want to put it would really be cramped with the additional 2 feet. I think it will be perfect for what I need right now. Of course, if I could, I'd have a 20x20 GH!!! My best friend's husband raises orchids and has 100s of all kinds in a greenhouse in their back yard. He even has a vanilla orchid so they make their own vanilla beans! :-) K

Yes, and when you step on the grass. The ground sinks a little rather than just crackles. Cool! I did have to fire up the lawnmower. I probably should change the oil even though it has just sat there.

Moni, that is so sweet of you. I hope to start a greenhouse soon, but health issues have me a little uncertain at this time. I hope someone close to you jumps on this deal. I think windows will make a much nicer greenhouse than plastic. Larry.

Any pros/cons between the HFGH 4x6 and the Easy Start Lean to GH?

My side yard which is the only place that I can put a green house is limited to about 4' in width but it is a long run. I would be looking at purchasing two of which ever one.
