Painting Concrete

Hi everyone,

I'm in the middle of building a raised bed for vegetables. It's 4' x 6' with a height of 4'. I'm using concrete foundation blocks (the kind with holes in them that are normally used for building houses) with a generous amount of concrete slathered on.

Right now, the structure is stable and functional but UGLY. Then again, it doesn't have any plants in it yet :)

I got the idea to paint leaf patterns on the walls using stencils to brighten it up a bit. Is there a specific type of paint I should use for concrete? Will it stand up to Ohio's weather? Any tips?
