In the event no one shares pictures here; I just googled the images for landscaping a garden shed and got a countless number of examples from the fabulous to the charmingly simple.

We made a small lean to a few years back at my old home. I had it in the back corner of the yard. My backyard already had a wooden 6 ft privacy fence so I had 2 existing walls back in the "L" shaped corner of corner . Hope that makes sense. Anyway, We bought an additional pre fab, 6 foot fence section, 3 landscape timbers and 2 bag of cement. My husband set the 2 post in the ground back at the corner of the yard and hung the new fence section. He used the other timber to create support for the roof. He used spare lumber to frame out the roof support. This ended up giving me a 3 sided lean to. He used some scrap sheet metal for the roof but that corrugated plastic roofing sheets would be perfect too. He then framed out the entry with a little bit of wooden lattice. I landscaped around it and hung an old wooden window with a flower box on the side that was exposed to my yard. Looked real cute and I used it for my lawn mower and garden tools. It looked kind of like a mini wooden carport. We just built one on our lake property a few weeks ago but this time we added on to an existing old steel shed. Made new doors out of fence boards and then used old scrap sheet metal and new lattice. We just added 2 sides to the shed, it's open on the end. My husband has the "big" garage. I get the little shed and lean to. I have my garden tools and supplies in the shed but the lean to gave me a place to store grills, garden carts and wheel barrels. IÂm trying to landscape around , I planted a bunch of lilies and irises all around it but they went into shock and I cut them all back. It's a blank slate, Hope to decorate it soon and the flowers will look better next year. I'll look for a pic of my old lean to, it was nicer looking.

Because our old metal shed is losing its roof to rust and contained our garden amendments we decided to build a new wooden garden shed. We purchased a Costco kit (Costco is a members warehouse store with an online component as well as physical stores). They were having a sale on the 10ft by 8ft kit shed for $799 which would be drop shipped to our house. We began by preparing a spot next to our vegetable garden area. The site selected is not flat and that led to some complications, but our property slopes throughout its length so this section was really no different than anywhere else. We used pier blocks for the base with pressure treated 4x4's. We used closer spacing of the floor joists than was required. We laid the dance floor down (it became the main construction place.) The first wall was put up. Then the side walls were put together. Front wall pieces and first shelf put in. Roof joists were put up. Roof panels were screwed in. After the tar paper, the roof shingles were nailed in place. Doors were hung. A deck by the front door was constructed, and stairs done as well. Caulking of vents, solar panel for light was placed, and tools were hung up. Success was declared. The entire process working mostly on weekends took almost two months for two people who are amateurs in the building world. It is satisfying to have built it ourselves, and probably cost in the $1500 range when all was said and done.

I was out taking some pictures this afternoon and got a really bizarre effect when I took a picture of the shed from the opposite direction from the picture I took from the porch yesterday. It was so strange, and not at all what my eyes saw, that I re-scanned the paint stir sticks to include the new door color one, just to be sure that it really was green! Compare the color of the door in this picture of the shed to yesterday's picture: All the stir sticks, including the original door color on the far left and the new door color the next one over. Your eyes (or ours at least!) see the color as it is in yesterday's pictures. I don't know what the camera is seeing!
