JD PTO not engaging for snowblower

With a foot of snow in the driveway, the PTO on GX 325 stopped and will not engage. This after it was working for about 20 minutes. Manual says to check for clogged air filter. I did and it seems fine. Tried to engage PTO with air filter off and still not working. There is a circuit board under hood near PTO switch and it has two lights...top one is green and bottom one is red, not sure what that means. I suspect bad PTO switch, but naturally local dealer does not have one and will have to order. I hate to sit around waiting for this since I am not ever sure that is the problem. Any suggestions/advice you may have will be greatly apprecitated.

THANKS!

Dave
