Hello Ya'll, The foundation planting at my new house is overstocked and I would like to find new homes for 2 mature rhodies. I would guess that the rootball for each shrub is approximately 1 foot or so in diameter... These babies really need some room and a good amount of TLC. It is my preference that you come to my house to dig as I could use a bit of help digging these up and I am looking to meet people in the gardening community. Anyone interested is welcome to to come by and dig anytime after the 14th of September. I am located in SE Mass within 10 minutes of Woonsocket, RI. Wow, JC, I want an Ursula....seed! Don't know if I have anything rare or weird you want, but..you can dig up what ever you want. I was just re-reading the posts to get a head count/names, somehow I spaced Fawnridge was the one bringing the pulled pork..soo.. he can't come..are burgers and hotdogs okay with everyone? DH will be on a Harley poker run thing, so burgers and dogs will be easy for me and feed the masses. If you are vegetarian, please bring your own Bocaburgers or soy dogs, if you don't like boigers or dogs, bring your favorite lunch. I have a large boat cooler for ice,it'll be full of bottled water. If anyone wants sodas or iced tea, please speak up about that too, and I'll add some to the cooler. As far as where everyone will put their plants....hmmm..I guess we'll play it by ear! It sure will be great to meet all the fellow GardenWeb citizens! Megan

I wonder if it could be "Mozart"? I've been looking around at rose retailer sites, since I don't have a membership at Help Me Find; therefore can only search on one characteristic. Kinda hard poring through 150+ pages of roses, lol.

I live on the Arkansas/Louisiana state line. The azaleas I have are the older ones that stay evergreen all year. I like them because they're old & big - the smallest is 5 feet tall & the biggest is 6 or 7 feet tall. And when they're in bloom they're just gorgeous! But you're right, they must be a staple for the South. The youpon holly (I think that's what it is) my husband got from the county landfill stays evergreen. He happened to be visiting a friend that worked there when this man came up with them. Seems the wife got tired of looking at them & wanted something different. They are pruned into balls at the top. What about the conifers - juniper, etc.? Or, ornamental grasses? Not shrubs I know but most get big like shrubs.
