heating my greenhouse

I have a greenhouse that I plan on heating the end of March so that I can purchase a few plugs to resell. The plugs I am purchasing are sweet caroline bronze and sweet carolina red ipomea vine, wire vine, Martha Washington geraniums, mini roses, helichryse silver, and solaire yellow bidens. Now this is the first time I have gotten any plants this early so I have never had to heat my greenhouse before. the greenhouse is about 10 by 10.

Questions: what tempurature at night do you think I should maintain for these plants? Would it be better if certain ones of these plants would be better off if I kept them in my house, I am getting one tray of each, ten total. would it be better if I made a greenhouse in my greenhouse and used a electric ceramic heater? The greenhouse that I am using is old and certainly not air tight.

Also fertilizing my new plants, since it is only 10 trays can I still use the 5 gallon bucket and mix it up and water individually. Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to do

I have owned my small retail center for about 5 years and this is the first time I decided to go out on a limb and try this plug thing.

any other info that you feel might be helpful to my cause would be appreciated.

How tall is your greenhouse, what shape is it, and what is it covered with?

probably 10 feet tall
not real good shape a little airy
old fiberglass

I usually use it to protect my plants in it, I sell and get at the end of April each year. It has done very well with protecting them from cold snaps, but I have never put heat in it. I thought if I protected the area with plastic it would stay warm for the plants I get the end of March this year. this is just for a month for low temps.

i think it would work, although it might take up a bit of space in a small house. another option which i would like to try in the future is a manure heated radiant system. basically, this is constructed outside the house and you run your heat into the house via pex water lines. the design i saw was a barrel of water with a pump in it that was surrounded by a hot manure pile. i wish i knew where i read the article, i'm pretty sure it's hiding in one of my giant stacks of mother earth news. but, here's another good article to check out. the nice thing about incorporating radiant into the manure system is that you can run your lines under raised beds or tray tables which produces a more direct source of heat for tender plants. I have a sunroom. It is the winter home for my cacti collection. It depends on heat from the house in winter and the adjacent room is very cool on winter nights. But it gets hotter than hades in the summer since I live in the high desert. The cacti move outside in a shade tent for summer so all that lives in there year round is a wax plant and a Christmas cactus. And we have to supplement the sunroom with a floor model air condition since the temp reaches 100 degrees easy if the outside temps go over 100. This is the perfect set up for me, but a regular green house is the way to go if you want to use it year round and grow a variety of plants.

After germination the plants should be growing in temp of 60 - 65 F but they still need 16 - 18 hours of light daily. If you need the heat pad to keep that temp let it be. Use a temp gauge to monitor and if to hot remove the heat pad or turn it down. If no adjustment on pad raise plants up off the pad 'til proper temp is reached. I will make the assumption you live somewhere that gets colder than your plants can handle through the winter months. I have a slightly larger hobby greenhouse and heat it from late October to mid May living in SE Michigan. I have used a natural gas portable heater rated at 20T Btu's and I have never had a cold day. That's the unit at the end on the floor. So, as Jeff has asked, it depends on what utilities are available, ease with which they can be brought to the GH and at what cost.
