Watering Shrubs in Winter

I've just planted several evergreen shrubs (Rhododendrons, Camelias and Gardenias). They are next to a wooded area that gets mostly shade. They do get about an hour of morning sun but mostly shade. I'm in the Piedmont area of North Carolina.

I've watered them well after planting but my question is.....do I keep watering them every few days throughout the winter? I usually plant shrubs in the spring and water extra their first year but that is always summer.

Do they still need that extra watering their first year if it is during winter?
