My recommendation would be to level the ground for the base, which is the hard work, and wait for the GH to arrive. If everything is properly leveled, cutting the 4X4's and attaching them together is 2 hours work maximum, and that way you can have a precise matchup. If you are going to install a gravel bed inside the base, there's a little more work, but not much. I guarantee that it will take a lot more time to assemble the GH than to assemble the base. Harbor Freight did not suggest this. Lets just say that Harbor Freights Tech support was, um Harbor Freight... I have to admit it was nice, they Cross shipped me new ones, which performed the same as the old ones. I found an overseas manufacturer of similar "budget vents", I think they were called Thermofor, who was very helpfull, and gave me a suggestion. I unscrewed the endcap that has the adjustment screw, and press the plunger till the seal almost comes out, then the oil will start to leak if you press softly on the plunger (If I pressed hard the seal comes all the way out, and you get a big mess ;) then close the whole thing and test. THrough trial and error, I now have all five of my HF openers opening between 65 and 75 degrees. Gato, I am not sure why mine did not work, and yours did, I am only 1300 feet higher than you, but I had a Total of ten from HF (The first five and the second five). Even at 38 degrees they were open five inches under load before I modified them ;) I would not recomend that anyone else try this, because I am sure it voids the warranty. (I tried it on just one first, then got bolder and tried the rest. I did spill all the oil out of one, and I replaced the oil with Cooking oil, even this one is now working ;) so I guess I will have to wait and see if opening them is gonna cause any long term ill effects.

Yes thank you mud house. Built mine about 3 yrs ago and it is holding up great. I added extra reinforcements do to 100mph winds here. Use all of mud houses suggestions, and go beyond with thick 90 degree aluminum angle running the interior length of the peak (if you feel it is needed in your area), this was a little tricky but well worth it. Also reinforced all walls with more aluminum angle. It stands up to the wind and does not move or twist at all. I have never lost a panel do to the extra clips, self taping screws, and neoprene washers. Also very important if the uvs are high in your area use the 'top secret coating' and suggested thinner (see link below on this post topic). I look around town and see the same model hfgh with missing and yellow panels everywhere. Take your time and do it right the first time, you will be rewarded greatly. With proper insulation and a $20 space heater you can grow tomatoes and peppers year round. We just had 6 days in a row here below 0f, -15 one night and all my plants are fine. Current soil temp in gh holds at 55 f all winter, which means you can continue to plant cold season crops in secession, and they will sprout and grow well. Asked my wife for 2 fig trees for Christmas they should do well all year in the gh, I will keep them small through pruning and root constriction with flagstone, which makes them more fruitful anyway.
