For caterpillars, the BT which I've seen in Home depot or lowes as Thuricide is a good choice. The broccoli being eaten down to stumps, hum, wonder if something else got them. Luckily with broccoli, you can still start over since they will like the cooler weather better. I've had trouble with squirrels eating the leaves and vine tips off my sweet potatoes, could the culprit be a bigger critter than a bug? Neem oil can be good against many things though it could also be bad for bees so don't spray flowers or while bees are present. Neem oil is not unpleasant to use. Organoside is another oil product that I've used against the scale that attacks some of our palms. It works and is quite safe to handle though it smells pretty bad (is mostly edible fish oil.) Soap spray is fairly good but make sure you test it on the plants before using it full scale some mixtures need to be washed off or the plant can't breath either. Most oil or soap mixtures are good for suffocating soft bodied bugs like scale and aphids. If the problem is squirrels, there are methods using hot pepper sprays that might discourage them from eating your veggies. Another method I've heard of that might gross some people out is a dilute urine spray around the garden area being invaded by the critters. I am growing catnip and feverfew from seeds. They didn't germinate well. Catnip is supposed to be a relaxing tea and feverfew is suppposed to be good for headaches and digestion and alot of other things. I have a nice rosemary plant. I make an oil with the rosemary that I use for aches and pains. It works well. No medicines work for my pain. Maybe just as well?!

taking notes in macro (or micro) economics is a waste of paper when compared to logging progress of your plumerias. But if you really need to here is how you could justify it: I have 100 granules of fertilizer and 100 gallons of water. the feds take 38 granules and 38 gals in taxes. Which leaves me with 62 each. I spread the 62 across my 4 plumerias. not enough for any of them to grow much but its enough to keep them alive until i make more. I get a few flowers which makes me happy but still longing for that big inflo. The feds spill 20 granules and 20 gals as they handle it through the beauracracy. 18 granules and 18 gals gets to someone who doesn't know the value and how to use it. Maybe they get a few green leaves and thier plumeria survives for another year but again not enough for the plumeria to bloom or thrive. All in humor but based on truth.

First question is, what kind of siding is that and does it need regular painting? I see gutters and so are they fully covered with leaf guards? I'd hate to see you blocking the second story interest of the windows . These are important to the appeal of the mult-level roofline. The single window nook between the main house and the garage is begging for not a crape myrtle but perhaps a nice vitex that isn't insulted by harsh pruning should you need to get behind it to paint. It's airy looking in form and wonderful for lighting of the small white holiday type or simple uplighting. The breadth of it's branches provide dappled shade to annuals and it doesn't mind underplantings. Garage wall is begging for some dark lump medium height evergreens (holly rather than boxwood which are suffering from leaf miners/virals). I think it's important to not cover the break between the two grey tones of the garage. It is visually interesting with the stark white break. Is that shredded hay or dormant Bermuda grass lawn out front? Do you have a edging planting bed on the lawn side of the sidewalk? The chairs on the front porch and pairs of windows behind them say you don't want anything even mid tall fronting porch in the beds. But, you might want to extend and curve the left porch bed around the side of the house.
