WANTED: Catnip and motherwort! I am so sorry! People please rea
Comments (0)My dad tore up the motherwort plants from the garden! I'm so sorry, I came home from class today and they were all broken up on the ground. I'm going refund postage, unless it was for the catnip (if you're still interested) and I'm going to respond to every email but if you don't hear from me, please go message me through here: https://auth.gardenweb.com/members/ms_minnamouse...See MoreYou learn something every day or I am sorry
Comments (16)I think that time of day has a lot to do with it. I have noticed that this plant and many cacti as well as succulents such as cyanchum smell the strongest during the hot hours of the day. Other succulents, such as Pachypodium lamerei smell the strongest during the early hours of the evening. Emy...See MoreCan I plant Pachysandra next to sedum
Comments (3)I'm a serious fan of Lamium (dead nettle) it's low growing, takes shade to almost full sun, and has nice silver and green foliage than goes nicely with many plants. japanese painted ferns are another great choice, though a more expensive one (they take a while to fill in, or will cost you a bundle for the plants) but with the silver, burgundy, and green, they're really great shade plants. and more of my sedums do well in half sun, so they will intermingle....See MoreAm I going to be sorry I planted viola?
Comments (6)This plant was a big deal around here when it first came out. I'm pretty sure I was suckered into it, as that leaf coloring is very appealing to me. But I don't remember if I used in a container or planted in the ground. I do see it in other gardens occasionally and it is always a very tidy looking plant but I have never seen it in bloom. I don't believe it is a very heavy flowering selection to begin with, so that might account for it 'not seeding around' much. I too am not an advocate for a pristine, weed-free lawn and don't mind a few violets here and there to keep the English daisies and creeping veronica company :-) And the weedy wild Geranium robertianum, which persists in popping up even though I pull it religiously!! Just stay out of my flowerbeds though!!...See Morehunt4carl
