Callicarpa bodinieri

ornata

Hi all. I collected some berries from a Callicarpa bodinieri planted in the grounds of my office (no, I didn't pull them off the plant - they were on the ground!)

There doesn't seem to be much internet information on how best to get these to germinate. I know that C. bodinieri is similar to C. americana, only more cold-hardy. Tom Clothier say that C. bodinieri needs no pre-treatment and should be sown warm. Elsewhere I've read that C. americana gives best germination if sown outdoors when ripe. Can anybody advise me, please?

Many thanks.
