I have over 165 varieties... in fact I am not really sure how many I have right now.. I think it is pushing 200.. but I have just ordered another 58 leaves of different varieties from a violet grower, so this will push me well over 200 - 250 named varieties.. so I will have many to trade in the spring, including some babies. Mostly what I am looking for are violets that are fancy, fringed, frilly or ruffled.. If you would like a copy of my list, as it is too long to cut and paste here.. please email me. Yuck!! You can keep yours I have plenty of my own! They were all over the yard when we moved in three years ago. Every time I make a new bed I've got to dig and dig to get all of them out. They aren't my favorite weed that's for sure, they are persistent though!!LOL!! -B

jojo Thank you. They are actualy in gritty mix, I just keep layer of chicken grit on top to keep them anchored & make the tiny pots little heavier. Otherwise, they seem to 'trip over' very easily. The larger black pot is small cutting of Ludisia orchid, succ. leave just fell in there so I left it. It got much more water than rest of them & looks like it really likes it. I would not plant them together on purpose - doesn't seem to be right pairing?! It is definitely younger than other pots, by at least 6mo, maybe even more. Growing in very fine (too fine) bark.
