I'm going to prune my Crandall's native blackcurrant any day now - yellow flowers have a wonderful spicy fragrance like carnations that fills the air. (BTW, what do you have to trade?) Here's Raintree Nursery's description (that's where I bought them) The most ornamental and the sweetest in flavor of all the black currants. It has deliciously clove scented yellow flowers early in Spring on a spreading 3-4' bush. It makes a beautiful edible hedge. The gooseberry shaped leaves turn brilliant red and yellow in the late summer and fall. The fruit is large for a currant and round. It has a nice sweet flavor without the black currant aftertaste. It makes a milder jam, syrup or raisin than other black currants. The plant is rust resistant and easy to grow.

I'm growing it and have had great success. It is not because of me...I found the poor thing had half of it's soil washed away and the roots were exposed to our awful ice storms and everything this winter. It has flowered and is full of unripe berries and is only about 1.5 feet tall! I was very impressed. I'll try to find the tag and see what variety it is.
