It took a wedding reception, but I finally have my pond up!!!

It's only taken four years! My friend is getting married this Friday, and we had a big work party this weekend to prep the yard for the occasion. Needless to say, I didn't think we would get even a third of what we did done, but I am MORE than pleasantly surprised! Here are a few progression pics of the pond project! Sorry, no "Before" picture, was too busy working on another part of the yard myself.

AFTER TERRESTRIAL PLANTS ADDED:

I'm SOOOOOO EXCITED!!! One end of the pond is pretty bare at the surface, so I may go back to get a little more, or I may not worry about it since it's so darn late in the season. The water hyacinths are on sale so I may just get a couple more. I was hoping the ones I got would do well enough but they're obsessively migrating toward the end that the lily is at. There are also two Fantail Goldfish and one tiny feeder goldfish that we had around in there. YAY!
