None of the dilatatums (which is what 'Asian Beauty' is) have blue berries, though 'Michael Dodge' has yellow berries. If you want blue berries, you need V. dentatum 'Blue Muffin' and another V. dentatum cultivar for pollination. BTW, deer seem to prefer dentatums to all other viburnums.

Blue Muffin is also a very early flowering V. dentatum. My yard is full of different arrowood viburnums (V. dentatum) but nothing else bloomed at the same time as Blue Muffin so I finially just dug mine and tossed it. I want mine to set fruit or I replace them with something else that will set fruit.

newyorkrita, my Blue Muffin blooms at the same time as Red Feather. They are the only dentatums I have.

My experience is the same as newyorkrita - 'Blue Muffin' is almost done blooming here but the species V. dentatum plant is still not ready. Luckily my V. acerifolium is blooming now and will cross pollinate with the 'Blue Muffin' as always.

Individual plant differences are what make this all so tricky - you can try to get what should work. But until you get it in your yard, there are no guarantees.

My first two viburnums were two species V. dentatum. In spite of the fact that the tags promised lovely blue berries they bloomed like crazy but alas, no berries. You don't know what I went thru and how many V. dentatums I added to my yard before everything had cross polination. Once it works though, they sure do set alot of fruit. Red Feather does not bloom at the same time as Blue Muffin for me so no berries. Thats why I tossed it. Planted something else.
