Furcraea foetida 'Mediopicta Sport'

Holy cow! Just read that Mediopicta Sport can grow to 5 ft tall and 8 ft wide and the flower stalk is 25 ft. Has anyone seen one that size?

Only in pictures, as they aren't cold hardy in our area.

Rather than "Holy cow!" you're supposed to exclaim "Furcraean out loud!".

In this instance.

They grow that big here, and actually there are some in our neighborhood.Also some non-variegated ones.
They are often planted in front of a wall, along the froad.
We have some 'small' ones, that the neighbors threw away....and my husband collected them, and brought them home.

"foetida" doesn't sound very appealing, but if the flower stalks are up to 25' tall, maybe the scent is too far away to be a problem.
