Questions about how/where/when to plant various seeds

Hi all.

I have recently decided that theres just too few of many wonderfull (more or less) native trees in my town, and im going to collect seed and give the seedlings away so we can have more of these plants around(i bike around alot and pay particular attention to trees, so i know whats planted around here). The problem is, i don't know how im supposed to go about planting the various different species. I was hoping you could all help me out, because i know some plants develop a taproot early on and are difficult to transplant and i was wondering how to avoid that problem in a prepared seedbed, as well as how and when to plant various species (because i dont know anything about it)

The tree species i was hoping to plan as soon as seed becomes availible are

Ohio Buckeye

Horsechesnut (non-native)

Black walnut (only 3 in town, all planted in a tiny memorial square)

Bur Oak

Hackberry

& Basswood

Aso im gonna plant needle-and-thread grass & old-man's beard

Thanks
