That's why I posted and said "I'm leaning toward it being the Mistletoe Cactus. I did a search for pictures of it after Liz mentioned it". Thanks everyone else! I'm still thinking it's a Mistletoe Cactus. I've never even heard of them. Walmart only had 2. Soxxxx..it probably would have jumped in my buggy, but I had to do some rearranging to make a place for her to sit! lol I also asked and posted the pictures over on the Cacti & Succulents Forum. If you look on the green section above there is one called photo galleries. Click on that and garden photos. Then click the heading 'Name that plant'. It is the second photo in at the moment. Someone has called it a jack in a pulpit (or something like that). I haven't a clue as I have never seen anything like it before. Here is a link that might be useful: Alisons pond and garden

Looks like it might be a cultivar of plectranthus scutellarioides which is apparently what Coleus got moved to: why doesn't anyone tell me these things ;-)

The growth in Texas was quite staggering. Places that were just dirt...a year or two later you had stores, malls and so much in such a short time. D.C and Houston was always confusing to me...geographically, i mean. Until i finally learned it's a circular or wagon-wheel design then it was much better. I used to get lost all the time. A lot of stopping and looking at my maps, lol. No GPS then! I still go back to visit when i can..i'm addicted to the MEGA HEB in Austin. I wish we had some over here.
