Where should I place my hyacinth?

-I currently have them in front of my waterfall. Is the pond getting enough circulation? Could this have to do with the murky water.

-also....I had to get in my pond yesterday to fish out some rocks that fell in. It is still somewhat clear but became a little foggy. I added algaefix lastnight and plan to add a little more on Friday. Should this help clear it up? I think me getting in and stirring up what debris is in there caused the problem but not for sure as it was clear before that.

-This picture is a couple weeks old but it shows where my plants are placed.

Algae Fix is a temporary solution. Better to let your pond cycle naturally. It can hurt plants and fish too regardless of what it says on the bottle.

Hyacinths are fine where they are or you can move them. Doubt they have anything to do with the water.

I will leave the plants as is. I am going to clean my collander (whitething) this weekend and try some quilt batting if still dirty. I can see the bottom but it is not nearly as clear as it once was. Should I go ahead and rinse the filter media in my biofilter?

Thanks Avanti. Thinking about it again, it might make more sense to have the linear drain at the blue line (against the long wall), because if we had it at the red line, that would mean I'd have a step down crossing the threshold (drain location would be the lowest point in the shower), defeating the purpose of doing a single-sloping shower...
