Cross Pollination

I want to grow multiple kinds of squash, melons and cucumbers, I don't have enough room to spread them out to prevent cross pollination. I planned to enclose when flower for seed saving however I'm wondering. If two kinds of melons cross pollinate will that flower produce a mix of the two melons? Or will the melon come out ok, but the seeds of that melon will produce a mix of the two parents?

I think this is the right forum since it is plant propagation.

Thanks in advance!

Matt
