Very few indoor plants will tolerate such low light levels long term, I know this from experience, as I have a friend/client living in the Sunset with the exact same exposure. One of the few plants that has proven reliable long term is Aspidistra, but this only gets 2.5 to 3 foot tall with foliage, and is more of a mass foliage plant than tall and sculptural. If you are willing to rotate plants in and out of this area, having two of each if you want the same look year round, then you might consider using common houseplants such as Kentia palms, Howea forsteriana, Schefflera arboricola or Schefflera calyptratus, or other palms such as Rhapis excelsa of Chamaedorea species such as C. elegans or C. microspadix. In my opinion, none of these will exactly thrive in such low light, and should be rotated to a dappled shade spot in the garden to recover, switching them out every 6 months or so. They will all tend to get leggy and reach for the light, except the Aspidistra, which is a real trooper under low light conditions. Or you could try outdoor plants and rotate them in the same way, using things like a spotted Aucuba japonica or Ligularia species.

How about Passiflora "Incense?" It's hardy here in Zone 7, you can cut the vines down each year and it still blooms in the summer (guess it blooms on "new wood"), and the flowers are fragrant and beautiful. The only thing you need to worry about is the fact that passifloras send up suckers all over the place - so you might want to sink a barrier of some kind around the plants when you put them in the ground. I have had one die once, though - it was heaved out of the ground during a spring thaw & freeze cycle. This is a fun thread, loving this! My favorite plant of last year was probably my hollyhocks- first year ever giving them a try in a sunny border. Last year they were little clumps of foliage hidden away, I had even forgotten that I wintersowed them the season prior. But then last year they sent up spikes and bloomed. I know that hollyhocks have been a common sight in many gardens for a long time, but everyone I had over at my house asked me about them- they had never seen hollyhocks before! I had never seen them before in the flesh either until last year. And boy, are they beautiful. I had a lovely view out of this window through July of last year. I was disappointed by my hostas- not because they didn't grow or looked nice for a while or so on, but because they were much loved by my growing chickens like a salad. I am most excited to see some new lavenders next year! I'm most excited about getting to begin harvesting some of said lavender. Must haves for me this year, so far have been more perennial herb selections. Lavenders, sage, maybe rosemary, mints... whatever I can get to come back and thrive each year. I started with one of these in early 2013 & it has yielded at least 500 new individuals since then by propagating branches. I don't do anything special for them, just water before the soil gets bone dry. I have about 20 different kinds of Kalanchoes and this is by far the most thirsty species. Being near a window where it gets at least an hour of direct light per day should be enough for it to bloom. It's one of my fav plants over winter because of the reliable, cheerful blooms.
