First Timer - Germination Question

First time starting seeds inside since I was introduced to heirloom tomatoes last year. I cut the bottoms of 1 gallon jugs and am using them to germinate my heirloom tomatoes. I am using a homemade mix of sphagnum peat moss and vermicompost; all covered with saran wrap to hold the moisture in. Some of them sprouted yesterday after only 4 days which I think is pretty good. I moved them under the fluorescent lights. Am I hurting the seeds yet to germinate by introducing the light? At what point should I remove the saran wrap and apply a small fan? I've heard that running a small fan will keep the bases dry and cut down on damping off.
