Mini Skippy Mini-Me Bio Filter

Hello everyone,

After a lot of research and asking questions, I finally decided to make the Mini-Me Skippy filter, but on a smaller scale. Since my pond is only 6' x 3.5' x 2'deep, I really did not need a 20 gal, so after checking out garden centers, I came up with the perfect pot...a lotus pot, which is about 10 gal and no holes. I followed the directions on the Skippy site, and it is up and running. It took 2 of the floor scrub pads, which only cost $5.00 each. I already see a difference in the water. I am running it for a couple of weeks without hiding to make sure I do not have any leaks, and then will make a waterfall with slate rock.

Will post before and after pics when I get it done.

Would not have attempted this project without others on this forum. Thanks to all and happy ponding!
