hmmmm I have a small hickory in the back and a small one was growing next door. There was also a pokeweed i was trying to get rid of about 3 feet away from this spot. I hope it is niether of those. I was hoping it could be deciduous magnoila.... Thats what i thought it was but i cannot be sure. There are a few mags in the neighbourhood.

Try the Name that Plant Forum. It isn't a house plant but a weed and although it rings a visual bell the name eludes me at the moment. And a geographical location is very helpful. eta OK. Got it. Euphorbia hirta

There is a little (expensive) problem in the orchid world and that is the cost of registering a name in the Database of Orchid Names kept in the UK. Ten English pounds in my view is too expensive! The name Phal. Anthura Denver ' Peloric' is not registered. Doesn't matter all that much. Just Trivia unless you want to show the orchid or use it for breeding.
