Me thinks there is some name duplication and overlap of features, (e.g., I would prefer to see the terms feathered and hige reserved for petals that display appreciable / variable splitting of the main petal structure(s) otherwise there would be no difference from a simple double or triple) but I cannot get the entries fixed without significantly 'ruffling some feathers'... I would say that at this point based upon the structural features that are showing that it most closely resembles the Feathered Purple... Hope that helps... TTY,... Well, there are thousands of popular azalea varieties available to property owners in the south. Some are quite small and stay that way. Most people who live in azalea territory love to use them as foundation plants, too, rather than solitary specimens. They are inexpensive, mass produced evergreen shrubs. This particular variety is a fairly common one but darned if I can remember what it is. Of course, breeders introduce new cultivars to the retail market all the time, so who knows what it might be?

The mauve one looks like Matthiola sinuata. But I believe there are other Matthiolas in Morocco.
