Peat moss trouble

hi everyone,

i stay in India which is hotter than US hardiness zone 11. these days max/min temps are 90/55 F. Sphagnum Peat moss is generally not available here but i found a few kgs in a store for the first time. i have sown some seeds (kochia, gomphrena globose, coreopsis cosmos yellow, tomatoes, mimosa) purely in peat moss filled in a germination tray. its been more than 5 days i haven't seen any acitivity till now. as a general practice of mine, i water the tray daily through the drainage holes and keep it covered at the top by cling film. (well i am also using a germination tray for the 1st time so used cling film instead of a sheet of glass which i use for seeds sown in pots). i keep it in shade on my terrace garden; should i show it some sunlight??

am i being a bit too impatient or is the medium not correct or is it too late/early for some of those seeds or something else? somebody please console/guide me! :( :)

thanks

raghuvansh
