Where to find copper paint to promote better root systems?

I've read that products such as Spin-Out paint with copper hydroxide will kill root tips when they touch and cause them to rebranch, making a much denser, bushier root system.

My idea was to take an old window screen, spray it with copper paint, and bury it in my garden about 1 ft deep. Above this, I would plant my wild plum, walnut, buckeye and acorn seeds. When the seeds sprout in the spring and send down their taproots, they'll hit this screen and the taproot will not form. Instead, the root structure will rebranch and form a much more easily transplanted specimen.

What paints can I use for this, and where can I find them? Thanks.
