azzalea my DH kind of feels the same way but then I remind him we get weather 24/7 on the spot, NetFlix and other movie channels thru Roku, we DVR 4 HD programs at once and watch on the weekends when we have time, we can skip thru time wasting commercials etc...then it's a bargain for us. We did have to spend 1 entire Sat home while the installer worked but he was very knowledgeable and spent a good amount of time educating us on how everything works. Since then, 18 mo, we have never had to deal w the hardware end of it. my only complaint about CenturyLink/PrismTv is that even after 18 mo w them not 1 single bill is ever correct and I have to call them every month. I work all day, I can make personal calls in my 30 min lunch but this never takes only 30 minutes. Seriously who in this day and age CALLS anyone for help but they can not fix the billing problems thru email LOL. I refuse to auto pay that bill because last month was $65 this month $90, it's supposed to be $80 per contract. other than that I love their service, we have high speed internet w DVR & HD tv for $80 mo taxes fess all included. We have never had a single internet or cable problem, if we did I would turn on them in 2 seconds and go back to BrightHouse for the same price. ~ liz

Okay, I'm fat now and I'm back, Linda, and figured it out I guess. If only subsequent attempts yielded the same results as the first one, this game wouldn't be so frustrating. The first time I clicked on the blue button, I got "cannot click on blue background." Subsequent times, allowed one click but not more. Anyway, it occurred to me to try the other buttons after it allows that first click on the blue button. So, the sequence is blue, then red, then green. The password is ninty-one. Wouldn't you know it's mispelled? I wanna kick this guy's butt. LOL

OK - not to hijack this thread - but I just have to say that my experience so far with Lowe's and Kraftmaid has been GREAT. Affer I placed my order at Lowe's I read a thread on here that had me scared to death I had made a terrible decision. I actually haven't read much positive feedback on Kraftmaid here so I wanted to put in my two cents. I had gone through several KD's, then basically took the design I liked best to Lowe's and had them order the cabinets according to the design I brought. It was a very large order as we will have a pretty big kitchen when this is all done. (combining 2 rooms) Anyway, we are smack in the middle of our remodel now. Our Lowe's kitchen cabinet guy warned me that it was more likely than not that some cabinets would arrive damaged, but that he could get a replacement within 2 weeks, so not to panic. I level set my expectations to expect this. All of the base cabinets have been installed, and they all look great! We had a few small problems - a few drawer fronts had the wrong style front on them, and some trim that wasn't finished right. But no scratches, dents, or anything like that. I am guessing that all Lowe's are not like this - but the cabninet guy has come to my house several times to "check on the installation" (even though our installer is not affilated with Lowe's at all) - and when he saw the small problems he immediately went back and ordered replacements, no questions asked, I don't even have to send back the wrong fronts, or take picures, or anything. And he has the Kraftmaid rep coming to my house next week to look at the problems with the trim to see if he can finish it on site - but the Lowe's guy went ahead and ordered replacements to be on the safe side. So, so far so good for Kraftmaid. I haven't seen the uppers yet, they are stacked in my garage in a way that I can't really get to them until they take them out to install them. But I'm less worried about those, at least by that point I will have the granite in and can get my kitchen in "working" order.

Oh my gosh, you have been through the wringer! I am so sorry. I really am, and I feel my shoulders getting all hunched up in sympathetic frustration. Aargh! Nut job Godfather aside, I have to say your kitchen looks so pretty! I also really like the knobs and pulls together -- I think they make perfect sense as a duo. That being said, it's not my kitchen so I absolutely respect your feelings. (but I still like them together!) Cannot keep my mouth shut! To my (biased) eye, the knobs on your mantle also make perfect sense. But as boysrus2 wrote, I have them myself so to me eye they just make sense. But it's funny, because after reading this thread I ran downstairs to look at our hood and wonder if I'd made a mistake having knobs put on the hood! The cabinetmaker and his assistant were totally anti-knobs, so we "compromised" and didn't put one in the middle (even though it is a door, ableit a door to the vent work). So looking at it again, I think we could've gone without the knobs but they've come in handy for whenever we need to access the Costco jugs of oil / booze we keep up there! here's mine The cabinetmaker or his assistant accidentally drilled a hole in the wrong spot on one door (they caught this before I did), so they removed the door and took it back to their shop. They filled it and repainted it and I defy anyone to find the former errant hole. Seriously, I have run my hands all over that door, inside and out and I cannot feel or see where they patched it. With a stained door clearly it won't be the same, but with painted it can be done .... But your kitchen and its hardware just looks lovely, and I am so glad you are near the end! Fingers crossed.
