Hi,
I spliced an extention of liner to form a stream that the pond exits so the splice is on the bottom of the stream, inches bellow ground-level; i did this years ago - no leak.
If I plant a pussy willow tree (salix discolor) will the trees roots seeking water get in the over lap in the seal and start to push their way through and compromise the seal?
I think this is a myth, in a sense, because there is no leak so no indication of water for the tree - and so the only risk is that roots just trying to fill a space (i.e. in between the crevice where the flap is sealed will swell as they grow and push the seal apart - which applies for any tree - even if they are not water-seeking trees like willows.
???
Thanks,
Steve
