I think as far as TAISCHA is concerned, you're best bet is waiting for Vintage.

SEPTEMBER MORN, I don't ever remember seeing it on the available list at Vintage. I got mine many many yrs ago from the "unmentionable" supplier of ages ago... It's not a great rose.

I'm not familiar with ECLAIR.

PURPLE TIGER I just recently saw available somewhere. Where the heck was that? I thought it was Heirloom, but I don't see it there now. Oh wait... it's Regan's. They have it.

And ORCHID MASTERPIECE is a climber that Certified Roses carries. If you can find someone carrying their roses, maybe they'll have it. Like Lowe's or WalMart.

Send me an email, I know someone who I sent Eclair to. I have it also but she started cuttings of it last fall. I have September Morn on order from Vintage. It will be at my house in early April. Between the two Eclair is the better rose, not quite as scented but a much better looking bush.

You don't want Purple Tiger. It's a lousy rose. I've had for three years and it only gets about 1.5' tall and I get two flushes out of it of about three roses each. Sure, the roses I get are pretty, but it just isn't a good plant. Anyway, if you want mine I was going to dig it up and throw it away this spring so you can have it for shipping cost.

There is a more vigorous look-alike to Purple Tiger coming out next year (2011) with some limited availability at a few mail order places this year called Purple Splash. They're calling it a climber, but I've seen it growing, and it's not as big as, say, Fourth of July. More like a smaller climber -- 5 or 6 feet -- with canes quite capable of standing up without support.

I happen to like my Purple Tiger, but I'm getting this one too.

As for September Morn, what I read about it, and was told by people here tha have it, was it thrives in dryer hot climates, and I bought the last ones at Rogue valley (only 2).....sorry! I didn't see it listed anywhere else...

Oh, I am glad you read more carefully than I do, svetaz5-6pocono, I just skimmed Roses Unlimited and was relying on HelpMeFind.com which didn't list them (or was I too much in a hurry and overlooked it, easy to do with 12 migraines in 13 days). Will try to call tomorrow if they are open and let's hope they aren't sold out of September Morn. I have had this rose in a pot, overwintering in the garage. This past winter, however, I was too generous in giving them water in the winter, oversoaked them and several didn't survive. I was a afraid they'd get too dry. Ha! I've been doing this for years and years, will lose one or two that maybe wasn't in the best spot in the garage, but lost more than normal this time.

athenainwi I will be happy to send you the postage so you can send your Purple Tiger to me. I've had it and got more flushes and roses than you, this is another I overwatered during the winter. Just email me with the cost and the address to send my check to.

paparoseman I do have an Eclair coming, just got notice from Greenmantle that of the two I ordered, I will get one. The plants I've gotten from Greenmantle before have been a very good size and very healthy. I forget the size they sell, but they take it out of the pot, leaving it with some dirt but not all, saves on shipping rates and maybe they can sell a larger rose.

September Morn isn't listed on the alphabetical page, but, yes, on the HT page. However, Pat's email said they only have Chartreuse de Parme right now, the other two (also ordered two BLack Baccara) are rooting right now but in the cold weather she didn't want to count on them yet. So I've asked about finding out later if they did, indeed root. I don't want to order two more roses to go along with Chartreuse de Parme in order to meet their three-roses minimum.

Talk to Burling @ Burlington Roses, something may not be on her list, doesn't mean she doesn't have a couple roses in many varieties. She is not going to grow everything in bulk, just not possible.:)
