What To Do With Old Bottles of Funginex/Insecticide?

Sorry for the double post, the previous message didnt print out.

I was cleaning today, and ran across some older, unsused bottles of funginex, insecticide, etc. Should I toss these or would they still be good? I dont know how old they are, at least a couple of years. Hate to waste something that is still good, but dont want to use them if they are not. Thanks....

If the seals have not been broken or if they have tight caps, they may still be good as long as the temps were neither too hot or too cold (freezing). However, around here, we can take older bottles of this material to our county agents and they have contacts who will collect and properly dispose of questionable chemicals. Check with your county agent, if you have one.

I've never tried goo gone but twice now I've put what I thot was red colored glass in the dishwasher but it wasn't colored glass but some sort of colored coating over white/green glass. This coating turns cloudy in the DW and I've had to scrape it off. On this last one DH used paint remover which worked fairly well except for the crevasses. I really need to look closely at cheap YS colored glass before I buy it.

I assume the tree is still in its pot? If so, do you have a place you can put it where the GSTs can't lay eggs on it? I'd wait a year before I considered it safe. I've got an orange tree that I've had about ?5 years. If GSTs lay eggs on new growth they do fine, but when they (occasionally) lay eggs on old growth, they never make it - must be something about citrus tree old growth that they can't take. Sherry

thank you all. Minnie I checked them all out, I can't believe after these few years I still don't check the gallery side. They're beautiful, I have some like the ones on the shelf, I always put them in a pot of flowers. Some are missing arms, or part of their wings, but still adorable :D I don't know what it is about mermaids and fairies, but I love them! Oddie, I had the most fun making fairy jars with my grandkids pics. I used photoshop, but you could just print out some fairy wings you'll find online somewhere, or out of a magazine, or draw some and color them. Print out the photo of the child, use their body, or put their head on another body. Such fun! They'll be tickled,too. Add a crown or newspaper hat, or party hat.

My city does have a recycling/waste plant that I could use. I was just not sure if the material was still good or not - it has been in an insulated room stored for a number of years. I just dont know whether to use it or take it to the waste plant....

Use it. I have some years old that I still use when I use it. It's still effective. If it's not effective take to a Hazardous Waste site.
