What do I do with a droopy Calla Lily that was in my basement?

I bought a young calla lily plant last year that I overwintered in my basement. It got some light from a window, but not much. It outgrew its pot and got big leaves on very long stems, and even 2 flowers. I have repotted it and returned it to my pond. However, all the stems have flopped over and are laying on the ground. Should I just trim them off so the new growth will come in more upright, or is it better to leave the leaves alone? Thank you!
