plant id needed invasive shrub PA

This very invasive shrub keeps cropping up all over my

yard in zone 6 pennsylvania. I would appreciate a plant

id and suggestions on how to remove it,besides napalm.

Try to dig out small ones. Big ones - cut them down and apply a little brush killer to cut stem that remains in the ground.

Since it is a native plant, it is NOT, by definition, considered invasive. But an aggressive spreader for sure. You need to remove the root system if you want to remove the plant, as it spreads by underground rhizomes.

Wow,that was fast, thank you so much! The neighbors had a large mulbery tree that had a lot of red fruit taken down last year, and there is another one in another neighbor's yard. I thought it was a shrub!But its a tree! Wow...
