What type of Orchid is this?

Yesterday I went on a hunt for a sherry baby. What I came back with was 15 orchids from a nursery that had finished blooming. I have bought phals and dtps from this nursery in the same situation and so far I've done really well with them! Yesterday the nursery was in desperate need to get rid of these, so I got a GREAT DEAL!!! Well I went though and picked a few Dens, 2 paphs, and I thought the rest were onciduims....or so I thought.

I have no idea what this is. Any info would be helpful! I can provide the right lighting for these plants but if anyone has watering tips for these I would really appreciate it. I might have gotten a little over my head, but I couldn't resist! Sorry that the pics aren't the best.

The only picture I can see is of a spent flower spike. Is there one of the plant? The spike to me looks like it is a multi-blooming Paph or maybe a phrag but that is a quess without seeing the stem/bulb and leaves.

can you get link? there is a picture of a dead flower, and a picture of the base of the plant. You can see there is no psuedobulb.

Maggie, I would cut the burned leaves off. The plant looks healthy enough to survive with out the leaves. You don't have to cut the leaves, because its just for cosmetic purposes. The plant will look a lot nicer/healthier though. This plant loves full sun and likes it very hot 80-90 degrees! I would not let this plant go below 50 degrees. The hairy root growth is very common for this type of plants. My plants are pretty much covered with needle like roots. They seem to stretch toward the sun. Hope this information helps.

I have a plant that looks like yours, and dang if the name doesn't fall out the back of my brain every time I haven't used it for a few days. I only ever remember it is a fairly long word that starts with a "P", and has Mona something in it. OK, dug it up: Plectranthus possibly Plectranthus 'Mona Lavender'

Perhaps not a good choice for indoor orchid culture. The literature says that it gets to be very large. Closely related orchids (schomburgkia) are sometimes seen around here but are not all that popular purely because of plant size considerations.

that is phragmepedium. it is probably an intermediate temperature grower and should be water and fertilized often.i should tell you a good rule of thumb is to keep water and feed high and every thing else is an in between. but if your not sure alway err on the simple side. only repot once it is too big because its roots are sensitive and when it is repoted always get one that is atleast 2 sizes up. but of courase get others oppinions as well...
